EDIT: Title screw-up. Should be "cpu FAN not spinning".
Pictured above is my computer with Intel stock cooler and E2180 (not overclocked) CPU & Gigabyte motherboard.
Started up the computer up today without the side panel on and to my shock/amazement, the CPU fan failed to spin up even after Windows had been loaded. I proceeded to load a game and the fan kicked in.
Basically, since I built my computer my CPU fan must have been off during every boot and just the metal heatsink cooling the processor. Is this healthy?
I've fixed the issue now it seems, by taking the fan off auto settings in the BIOS etc.
But still, bit worried I've been booting the computer like this for over the last month now.
