Hi there, I know i should be outside enjoying the sun but I've got a bad case of the OC bug!

My Q6700 hits 3.5ghz (10 x 350) no bother, P95 for 10hrs plus. On my old P5B-d. Stays cool with a TRUE at 1.45 in my BIOS. South Bridge at 1.55V.

...as soon as I hit 3.6ghz prime restarts the computer after about 4 hours of blend. It'll pass Small & Large FFT's 8hrs plus but blend kills it. The PSU is a OCZ 600W job. (not great really)

Is the P5B the prob or do you think the chip has hit a wall. I've tried x8 multi etc but no joy. Pumped more volts through the chip but I don't think thats the answer. Any thoughts.

Cheers Gunner

What's wrong with an OCZ 600W PSU?

Anyway, that's not a bad clock to be honest, but it's possibly capable of more. Have you tried upping the NB voltage?

try looking at your memory
if its only crashing when using blend test this suggest's whentesting the memory portion is when it fails as you have tested the cpu with both small and large fft's and its passing each time
you may need to lossen the timings slightly or up the memory volt's but thats where id start looking
