Swapped my gear over to a new case yesterday, all was well until I notice my H110i GTX spinning up during games which is something it never used to do. I thought it was the fan configuration and it was starved of air. So I've tired every possible configuration to get the temps down with no effect. I've even sat the cooler outside of the case and ran with no better effect.
Normally I run my CPU (5930k) which is 3 months old @ 1.35v and 4.5ghz, I had to drop down to 4.4 and 1.3v last month due to a small temp increase, just time of year I thought.
I have now returned my CPU to 3.5ghz and 1.25v and still high temps, Idle @ 70c.
I have reseated the cooler 3 times with no effect. If I leave it running idle and fans and pump of full it does in time come down to 40c idle (still high).
So whats had it, could it be the new CPU throwing up massive temps or something within the H110i GTX. When running Corsair fans and pump speed show increasing speed to running faster modes. Normally at 4.5 my max temps in prime95 got to 88c, 3 hours of gaming 65c.
