My CPU is the i5 2500k and recently I moved my components to a new case and also upgraded the graphics card. Before I was achieving a stable 4.3GHz with no problems, now I'm only getting around 3.9GHz. I'm not sure why this is as the new case has better airflow and more cooling. I didn't removed the CPU cooler either when moving the mobo over, so I ruled out a thermal paste problem, but I don't know. Just think it's weird that I lost 0.4GHz just from moving case, it might have even happened before then, but I checked around 3 weeks prior to moving and it was at 4.3.

Would just like to know what could have caused it

It was upgraded from a Sapphire 2GB 6950 to a Sapphire 3GB 7970 if that matters, but it may have happened even before the move. Shall I post my CPU Bios settings here? Doesn't look like they changed from before besides the multiplier. I think the Vcore is on auto though so it might be that. I was never sure what the max Vcore was for daily use, think I saw somewhere it was around 1.5v max?

Set the Vcore to previous levels and test!!!! Should be fine now mate. Maybe the Bios battery needs changing if the system is loosing settings.

Should I use manual volts instead of auto? As these settings now fail on 4.3Ghz, so I wonder if auto isn't cutting it anymore. Not used manual Vcore before so I assume I aim for a multiplier, and keep raising the vcore until stable.
