CPU overclock problems

Ok,

Heres the deal now:

I'm still having difficulty with overclocking my CPU. I'm trying to get my CPU to run @ 4.6ghz on auto volt but it wont boot. I'm really confused as to why? My specs are very high so it should get to 4.6 no problem.

My temps are 46oc idle in my bios and this is with a H80 CPU Cooler does that sound a little high? Speed fan shows it at 31-33oc?

My specs:

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz
H80 CPU Cooler
Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Intel Z68
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz

Any info on how to get it to 4.6ghz safely would be appreciated.

In BIOS no power settings will come in play, so the CPU is pretty much running at full speeds, hence the higher idle temps. I wouldn't be too worried as it seems normal. What really matters is the max load temps.

Try manually setting your voltages, sometimes auto can give too much or too little for an overclock. Another thing to try is to enable Load Line Calibration (LLC) in the voltage settings. This will help stop the voltages from dropping too low when the CPU is on max load.
