Hey guys sorry if I've put this in the wrong place but I think it makes the most sense here. I'm pretty new to builds have only just finished my second one the first one I used used the stock CPU cooler and never had any problems. This time however I bought an i7 core with a 2011 socket which didn't come with a stock cooler and after a bit of research I went with a corsair H80 which seems to work fine and keep my CPU nice and chilled accept at boot up where I get a CPU overheat warning sound for about 30secs after which the H80 seems to kick in fully and all is well. I don't think it's a major problem just a little annoying and wondered if anyone had any suggestions.

What does it say the CPU temp is in PC Health Status in the BIOS? Check it and wait for the H80 to kick in.

You could set the overheat warning higher in BIOS or disable it. If it's very high I would investigate or contact Corsair about it. Could just be that the warning temp is set a bit low for your CPU.

edit: Loving my posts right now. :D 1337.
