Ok, so my old pc keeps shutting down and on reboot gives me the message the cause was a CPU overheat, sometimes it then stays on, sometimes it will then die again.

Basically after taking the case apart i have found the fan and heatsync are clogged with dust i have loosend it with a paintbrush but as i have important things to do on there now, is it safe to use a hairdryer on cold to blow the dust off?

Cheers.

The brush actually did it for me, i didn't need to blow it out, i just dug all the dust out of the heat sync and after being able to finish what i was working on tested out one of my games and saw a huge FPS boost.
