Above is a screenshot of my computers cpu temp when burning a dvd, which seems rather high and has recently been shutting my computer down when in excess of 75 degrees.
Its never shutdown by itself before, only since I reinstalled a different version of XP a few days ago but could that be to blame?
The other PWM temps seem pretty high as well, so surely this cant be due to the heatsink?
The heatsink im using is a Big typ 120 VX, which I find can be noisy when the fan is turned up to full speed, and only reduces the temp to about 60 Degrees when on full.
My PowerSupply is 700W
Mobo Abit 32x wi-fi
4 gig Crucial ballistix Ram
Gainward 8800GT
Iv just bought a Q6600 but not fitted it yet, would this CPU run at similar temperatures? Can anyone reccomend a quiet and powerful heatsink for this as I think Im going to replace the BigTyp
