HELP!!!!

Built a media centre with the following spec

AMD 3200
Silverstone Tech NT01 passive cooler (no fan)
Silverstone Tech LC10M case

And it is overheating :(

I have DEFO installed everything correctly, the cooler just dosent do what it claims to do.

Really angry that companies make false claims. I have intake and exhurst fans on the case so their is good airflow though the case.

Any suggestions on a quiet heatsink/fan i can get my hands on which will do a good job but wont be to nosey???

I turned on Cool n Quiet, no improvement

System when sat "idle" is at about 65c and when doing TV etc reaches 85c + and at which point i turn it off.

by the way, when it first overheated i fear it hit something like 90+ and then the CPU failed, or seomthing, when I cam down in the morning the system was switched off. There is nothing on the motherboard to tell it to switch off at certainly temps.

Since then i have been montoring it closely, and the CPU still seems to be working fine. Do you think I have done any perment damamage, system still runs fast as ever. No obvious sign of damamage, but it does continue to over heat as described above.

Got the Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower (Socket 939/754/478/775) CPU Cooler (HS-015-ZA) in the end

CPU now running at 45c at full load and is very quite

Cheers for your help everyone
