CPU overheating?

Hi all, looking for a bit of help with my new system. It's only about a week old but seems to be running very hot.

CPU seems to idle at about 30degrees C. when i prime95 test it, it shoots up to 80 degrees C within a few seconds. Surely somethings wrong there as i've not even overclocked it yet and am told it can easily reach 4.5?

Here is my cpu and heatsync
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM

Corsair A50 High-Performance CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/AM3/LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366) [CAFA50]

Just wondering if anyone knows what the problem could be?

hi, heatsync is fitted correctly and air flow seems good. got two front fans and two top fans sucking in and 1 back fan blowing out. also the heatsync fan is blowing cold air through the metal bit of the heatsync towards the back fan. any other ideas?
