i3 6100 which runs at <50W so why waste even £5 on TIM. Just use whatever is on the cooler.

Yeah, use anything. Even the super cheap unbranded ones on ebay seem to work pretty damn well.

Arctic MX-4 isn't a bad shout however.

i had some very cheap and nasty stuff was very thin but temps were ok on my builds . i ended up buying some thicker compound as the cheap stuff look very watery .
