Is there anywhere I can see a table of the performance of diferent CPUs so I can do a direct comparison ?

Am weighing up options for several computers that I am thinking of buying and not sure which to get

CPU performance charts can be biased as it does depend on what software is used. Some software will work better on an AMD CPU and others on an Intel one for example. Also,some applications tend to run better on CPUs with more cores too.

You also have to take platform costs into consideration.

What is your budget and what software do you intend to run??
