cpu prices gone up?

i swear i saw the q9550's price on 179 a week ago and now its over 200? how the heck the prices gone up by a massive 30 quid in a week?

It's end of life, Intel are no longer making it. Prices inevitably going to rise. If you look at the 920 D0, it costs £210. Same price +/- a fiver as when I got mine several months back.

I think that's all it is I'm afraid. If you fancy a 775 quad, the cheap times are fast passing.

i bought a i5 on deal for £121, looking at it now, its on this week deal and its £135...not jsut the 775s

Its just the run up to Xmas now, all things are more expensive.
