cpu prices

hi all did i not see on here a few days ago that the price of intel cpu`s are coming down in price? any one know when if this is the case?.

There were price cuts reported for the 19th of april, i see on the ocuk shop site that the Q9550 has been dropped a fair bit.

puh no good to me as i cant afford that cpu any ways .

p.s i know its on offer at the mo but allso need a psu and cpu cooler.
just aint got it all at thi minute ....but then saying that i do get free delivery so i could order bits at a time ummmmm.

If i remember right it's only a few cpu's having reductions and the price drops are staggered as new cpu's are launched over the next couple of months.

You tend not to notice much of a price reduction at the bottom end of the scale, they are either ~£10 cheaper or they discontinue one chip and replace it at the same price point with a slightly faster chip of the same type. The really big decreases tend to be on the real high end expensive stuff, extreme editions etc.

will realy need to look at what i want/afford i realy want a Q6700 or somthing around that price what do u lot think?

i will over clock so should be able to
i want to play games mainly ARMA and number 2 when its out and i think that one will support quad?.
