CPU prices...

With Haswell round the corner, is it likely that once it comes out the prices for the older generation will fall? I have my eye on a z77 set up with an ivybridge i7 3770k CPU. I'd rather wait if prices will drop otherwise I'll go for it now...

The prices will probably stay the same.

The 2500k is only £10 less than the retail 3570k CPU.

Prices for previous generation CPUs don't tend to drop, they just stop selling them altogether.

Wait it it, soon as Haswell hits the trigger happy people on here will be replacing there 3570k and then it goes on the members market, well hopefuly, quite a fair chance of this happening.

If you're willing to buy second hand there might be a few 3570k's around after Haswell comes out, particularly if it's a beastly overclocker.
