Got in a few hours ago and the PC had turned itself off, tried to turn it back on and the motherboard beeped repeatedly.Left it 30 minutes and tried again and within 5 mins in had shut down again. After doing a bit more digging in the bios I found out that the cpu temp was 98C and that the pump on my water cooling unit had stopped working. The unit was a domino ALC.was thinking about upgrading to a Corsair H50 so I suppose I have two questions.

Is the overheating issue the casue of the shutdowns and is it worth buying the H50 seen as it is on offer this week ?

Any help appreciated.

when the cpu gets to hot the pc shuts down to prevent damage

as for the the h50, i bought one for an i7 rig and its seems to be working fine

Most modern cpu's have good thermal management to protect themselves from over heating and majority of BIOS'S have the option to shut down the pc when a certain temp is reached.

Stick a new Corsair in and all should be well, but order this morning as this week only changes today :)

Bought one from Overclockers this morning and just finished installing it,the only problem now is the computer wont post and there is no display on the screen at all.The fans and everything else seem to be working but it just wont post for some reason.Everything is plugged back into board as far as i know.

Any ideas ?
