Hi i went away for a week to london to visit family and took my pc with me to use when i got bored.
I installed speedtouch internet connection at a friends house to get on the net,and since then ive been having problems ie.when i boot the pc i get an error message saying "CPU is unworkable or changed - please check cpu softmenu" but i can press f1 and every boots ok,but then i get a ms-doz window open when everything is loading and i get a dl.exe NTVDM CPU error message.
Then when i click firefox my google homepage comes up i search for something, all the links come up but when i click on one nothing happends, and google then goes dead and i cant connext to anything on the net anymore, but my modem is working fine and my girlfriend has no problems with her connection.

I looked on her pc to look for somehelp and i found a page which gave a solution for the "CPU unworkable" message on boot, which was to load save settings in BIOS but when i done the pc hasnt loaded back up since,it shows the cpu loading and hdd etc and thats it,it freezes and that.Ive tried pressing del to enter BIOS but the pc just acts dead.

Please can anyone suggest anything to me as im at my witts end about this.
thanks

Well you could try by looking inside make sure all connections are properly seated ie memory, HD, Power connections, its possible somthing has work loose in transit. also is your keyboard usb some motherboards don't support usb legacy devices with default settings if so try plugging in a ps2 Keyboad.
You could also try reseting your Cmos by moving the cmos jumper to the right pins for a second or 2, after that you could try minimum config ie unplug everything apart from cpu mem and Gpu but the fact you can't get into the Cmos(setup) suggests a problem with either Keyboard or motherboard.
