CPU Question - How will my i7 4770k hold up?

I'm waiting for the new gfx cards to come out and will decide when the real world Vega figures come out whether to go red or wait for the next green.

I don't want to upgrade the whole system unless I really need to. According the benchmark figures, the 4770k should be up there.

So, question as per title, how will my CPU hold up with these new cards?

No problem at all, they are still very capable CPUs.

If you have a good cooler you could probably overclock it to at least 4.2GHz with easy for an extra boost in performance.

I'd say another few years without getting too in-depth. Overclocked, it's a very strong CPU.

I played with it for a bit after building it but have pretty much been running it on stock for the duration.
Will push it up when I get the gfx card.

Still a very good CPU. But definitely overclock it.
