CPU Question

Firstly I think I should say Hi because i'm new to this forum and PC building.

I was wondering how these processors compare to each other:

The AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 550 3.10GHz Black Edition

The Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 2.80GHz

And the AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition 2.8GHz (Socket AM3)

First and third are essentially the same processor, one with three cores and the other with two. The tricore is better.

The second is completely different and probably inferior to the amd offerings

It all depends what you use your PC for and what Motherboard you will be using?

I use Dreamweaver quite a bit; I use office a lot and i do a lot of web browsing; I may play the odd game but it will usually be age of empires or Football manager. I don't know what motherboard i'm going to get yet but its not going to be too expensive; ill probably get one around the £60 or £70 mark.
