hey guys!

Recently got back into gaming again as battlefield 3 is around the corner and i know my dual core wont get along with it too well.

I've got about £250 to upgrade so what you guys suggest? Would like a i5 760 and around 6gb of ram. When i build this rig from new Core2 was all the rage so im abit out of the loop :p

cheers

sounds pretty good redmint. Is there any decent 6gb kits as £250 is pretty much pushing me to my limit. Ive got 4gb at the minute and nothing i do or play maxes that out so 8GB is abit over kill.

I would settle for either 4 or 8 GB. Not much point in 4x2 + 2x1. Would that even work? And no point at all in 3x2GB :)

This really, go for 4GB if 4GB is fine for you atm. No point going for 6GB on a dual channel motherboard. Upgrade later when you've got more money if you decide 4GB is no longer enough at some point in the future.
