Hi Guys,

I'm trying to build a bit of a monster gaming/streaming rig and I'm stuck on Intel/AMD... AMD is looking like the stronger gaming processor but any advice on a top spec processor would be very welcome. Looking at getting CPU water cooling, going in a rig with a 3080. Thanks :)

Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard

Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory

Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard

Something like that setup?

Yes but i would get the Msi x570 tomahawk Wi-Fi its one of the best value motherboards.

5800x should be enough but the 5900x is a beast and those extra cores may come in handy .

What resoloution you gaming at ?

X570 tomohawk with a 5900x and some decent 32gb 3600mhz CL16 ram would work really well.

I’m running the same but with a gigabyte Aorus b550i mini ITx board and it works fantastically

Currently 1080, finally looking at this RIG to see what I can push to though!

What do you think the fit of the tomahawk would be in a NZXT H510 Elite ATX Mid Tower Case?

Shouldn’t have any issues in that case. It’s know to run quite warm as you would have to have an AIO on the front pulling air in so your GPU would get a tad warmer than if the AIO was in the top. I think that case just has space for a 120mm fan up top

Thanks for all the info/help guys really appreciate it. It's all ordered an should get it all by Monday - total cost just shy of 2.5 - Should be a pretty beasty PC for that price. 5900, Tomahawk, 3080 FE, 32GB 3600 Ram, Water cooling for CPU, Couple of extra fans, 80+ 850 plat power supply, 2 SSD's etc etc :)

Predulid ?

So which msi motherboard is better the msi tomahawk or the gaming edge player both x570

100% the Tomahawk. Just google the MSI X570 gaming edge and you'll see the reviews on youtube. The VRM is very poor and it gets crazy hot. I bought one before reading the reviews and ended up sending it back.

+1 for Tomahawk if you just want a no nonsense build and my personal experience the MSI software is more bearable compared to others
