CPU & Scanners

A different question than the norm for everyone maybe.....

I am off to New Zealand in 2 weeks and I have an 8 hr stay over in Japan or to be more precise Narita International Airport.

So I am thinking while I am there I may see if I can pick up a cheap E6600.

My question is:
When I go through the scanners for my next flight will they have any effect on the Processor??

As far as i know there just metal detectors.

If you were trying to get it on a plane in this country they'd probably arrest you and rip the CPU apart to see if there was a detonator or something in there.
