right got the cpu steady at 4GHZ, can run the intel burn on standard for 50 loops and its fine :)

but when i try to use 2GB or more it fails after the second loop.

multi x21
bclk 191
turbo on
LLC on
vcore 1.24
dram 1.66
cpu pll 1.92
qpi/dram 1.35

xms profile on
8,8,8,24,2t @ 1503MHz

not sure if ya need any more info

any suggestions ?? cos i tried memtest on standard clocks and the memory was fine..... any ideas??? :( really annoying as its a good clock with temps below 75 :)

well i ran memtest when i got them and i just let it do two runs and it passed and also did the windows one and it was fine... and atleast 20 runs of memtest.... thats a good 20ish hours of testing maybe longer...

okies ill leave it run till tomorrow afternoon, see how it goes :) *fingers crossed it's fine!*
just put everything back to stock and tried ibt and it failed again. memtest86 is fine with 6gb isn't it. it just tests it in batches?

UPATE:

over 9 hours done and when i left it was just about to finish the 7th pass and nothing has come up..... i did a bit of searching tho and apparently the i7's fail on the IBT if you set the number of threads to 8?! but if you put it to 16 it should pass fine... can anyone confirm this? I'll be giving it a try when i get home but want to know other peoples experiences.

yea i tried this yesterday. always failed on 2nd pass of 8 thread.
always passed 20 passes of 16 thread

so its just the prgram erroring not the ram? so when i get home ill do a 16 thread test for say 20 loops. if it passes im golden :D then ill bump it up even more, going to keep going till temps hit 80 xP

ok it did 15 passes on memtest and nothing.... im pretty sure the memory is ok, just did standard test @4GHz on IBT 20 passes fineeee with 1.248v, now doing the maximum ram with 16 threads... wish me luck :)

EDIT:
hummm ok i think it did atleast 5 passes but i was watching tv and when i looked back it had rebooted xP so ive upped the vcore and cpupll slightly temps are still under 80*C ho many passes should i go for do declare my system stable? im going to go for a straight 20 run. should take like 2 hours, is this a better indication than blend on prime95? as when i run prime it barely uses any memry where as IBT gets my ram up to 94% :)

also.... i noticed with peoples temp programs that looks like core temp but it displays the max temp... is that program real temp or is there a way to get that in core temp?
also wondering... do people use the XMP profiles? or just put to mobo to manual?
