Hi all,
Been having a problem with my PC, first COD4 was stuttering, someone suggested I check temps, while checking temps my PC is just stopping dead from anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours even when doing nothing.
temp log from just before shut down
Am I reading this correctly? it looks as though Core#1 is having some serious temp issues while Core#0 is fine.
I have cleaned the PC out, it is now dust free, I have reapplied thermal paste and turned the Akasa EVO 130 fan up to full and it is still doing it.
Can you get diagnostic programs for CPUs? I really can't afford to spend money on new components right now so any help is very gratefully received
Is it also normal for a core to be constantly changing from a 0% load to a 41% load and back again every other second despite not doing anything with the PC?
EDIT: I have been running this PC fine for 2 years without a problem with overheating. Also, the fan is working, it makes quite a bit of noise and I can feel the draft on my hand. I have also taken the side off the case. No joy
