cpu temp stuck

got a new cpu for an old mb, e5200 on a p5k. upgraded bios. but it reports temp as 42c no matter what. idle = 42, orthos = 42c. :confused:
 
Not sure, I did speak to Intel regards mine and they basicaly said the cpu will protect it's self in a event and I should speak to the software makers and check for BIOS updates.

Far as they are concerned the cpu is working as it should be.
