CPU Temp WAY too low

Recently bought a NH-D14, so I have been watching my CPU temps a lot to see the difference

Haven't done any overclocking at all - yet - as according to Core Temp AND HwMonitor my CPU temp got as low as 11C. Now, I do not know my ambient temperature, but I am indoors, and it is not that cold....

The temperature also seems to be changing loads, not really staying still. Though it only changes by a maximum of 10C.

I looked in the BIOS and the temperature was more like 30-32C which seemed about right.

Apparently AMD CPUs do not display the correct temperature when idle however, they become more accurate under load (when they are hotter). Many people suggest this but I do not know how accurate it is. My 8350 is similar to yours, but the idle temps are slightly higher.

Yeah, it does seem to stay a little more steady when I am playing Minecraft, though still about 23-25c. That sound right?

Just tried using ASUS AI Suite to monitor the temp, its staying around 30c, which seems a LOT more accurate.

That's a socket temp though.
Another important temperature, too high on that and it's throttle.

Oh, so, what is "too high" for that?

Varies board to board, back when I used to clock AMD I had my socket at like 71C and it was fine.
But then you can get boards that get to 62c and throttle etc.
