Right, I'm reading here that people are having heart attacks when their CPU temp reaches 68C.
I've got an AMD FX-42 (I think, possibly lower). Thats not really overclocked (MB inbuilt setting, about 5%). (I know, why buy 1 if I'm not o/cing? good question).
Anyway, I've installed Speedfan and MSI CoreCell (its an MSI Neo2 Platinum mobo). And I get a idle temperatue reading of 80C, which goes to 95C if I run 3Dmark. Can anyone explain this. The processor has a non-standard cooler I bought and AS5 between them.
Now I know I'm coming across as I right idiot here but can anyone explain this? I've had this for over a year now and apart from some random crashes which may be overheating issues its been fine. It doesn't matter a huge amount as I'm upgrading right now anyway, but I'll probably give this to my bro and would like to have a go at overclocking it as I paid a vast premium for it
Where should I start?
Lian Li Case with 2 120mm fans in it (1 over the Hard drives), working .
Cooler (cant remember what it is), its got probably a 90mm fan on it (working ), maybe smaller.
