CPU Temp

Just moved my PC from dining room to lounge. The heating is on in the lounge obviously, is 29C minimum too high for general browsing? (Pretty much idle)

Think it was about 12C before. It is quite close to a radiator, can't really move it anywhere else in this room though.

29c is fine. Rather, 12c seems pretty cold. What CPU cooling are you using?

29 is fine. Start worrying when it hits > 70.

Is 29C minimum a bad starting point if I wanna OC and start gaming though?

29c is still very good, anything between 30c-40c is what I usually expect for idle temps. What is your current max load temp?

Currently 30C

I'm guessing that the 68C & 65C core temp on both cores of my Core 2 Duo E6700 with only this forum running in IE8 isn't too good then.

Thank God my new rig is with DPD on route to me.

I have used the Zalman CNPS9900. It's a great cooler. I got 27c to 30c on my i7 3770k OC to 4.2ghz So no need to worry those are good temps

That's good to know. Only chose it as it was one of very few coolers that would fit with my 4 stick of vengeance.

If lounge about 22c and you have 29c now, than your dining room must have been 4 or 5c :eek:

Sure explains why you moved it to the lounge.
