Ok.. not really sure whats going on with my cpu temps atm.
Currently running a Q6600 energy efficient, not overclocked
with a Titan Amanda cooler.
Last few days the cpu temp has been rising a lot higher than it has previously.
It used to be about 34 Idle, rising to about 50 under load.
It has now suddenly risening to 45 Idle to about 80 under load.
Did the obvious things, re-applied the thermal paste, cleaned the fans, checked the stock voltage hadnt been changed. But nothing seems to be causing the sudden rise.

Any ideas what could be causing it?

Hmm.. just a thought.. but is there anyway i can tell if the TEC on the cooler has failed? might answer why the heat has suddenly jumped.

Fans are spinning at 1750, which i'm pretty sure is what they've always spun at.
If thats what you mean?

Was trying to think what could cause such a sudden increase in temps - if its not something you've done then thought was wether it was some other program running which had decided to play silly b..... (e.g not spinning up as fast/running as fast etc)

Sorry if no help - Have never heard of such an increase before in the circumstances you list !!

Then again - I'd forgotten that the Titan was a TEC - Have zero experience of such so have no idea if the TEC failing would give rise to problems you have.
