CPU Temps a little high

A little advice is needed.....please. I recently installed another 4870x2 and I have noticed that the CPU Temps are a little high(Core Temp App), at 0% load they are between 60-65C at start up which then averages out at 58-63C after 20mins or so (I've not looked to see what they are like at XX% load). I have an Akasa AK-967 Nero cooler and was wondering whether this is a decent one. Admittadly I have not removed and then re-applied any thermal compound to see if that would make any difference. Are these temps ok as they seem a little high to me, or would it be worth buying a new cooler??

If idle they are too high mate.
Go for Noctua cooler - very quiet and very good

Your idle should be no where near that temperature, even on the standard cooler. Check to make sure your cooler is seated properly.

+1 And they come with 2 fans for push-pull hence the price premium. But you'll never need anything else on there!

As always..... very many thanks. Just bought the Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366).
