I've got a Core 2 Duo E4300 1.80Ghz, currently not overclocked, using an Arctic Freezer 7 pro for cooling.
At idle it's about 42-44 degrees, rising to high around 58 when under load.
I don't currently have any case fans but am looking at getting some soon.
However, I've noticed the heatsink doesn't get warm at all, I can touch it anytime and it's not warm, does this sound like the heat isn't transferring properly between the CPU and heatsink or is it normal?
I usually keep the fan on the 'silent' setting so it's spinning at around 1100rpm, but the temps don't change more than 1 or 2 degrees if I have it faster.
Overclocking can take the temps up by 10 degrees.
thanks
