CPU test software?

I need to test a laptop for a broken cpu, os won't boot so I'm looking for some bootable cpu testing software similar to memtest86, is there such a thing?

it wont boot if the CPU is bust....so no.

If you can boot the comp then Hirens.BootCD does a lot in dos.

i recommend Hirens.BootCD also theres a lot of useful stuff on there.

Prime95! You can create a bootable CD or it comes as part of packages like hirens or the UBCD.
