Having just replaced the 9600GSO in my 24/7 folding machine with a GTX470 I am now getting the urge to replace the CPU too lol.
Current is a i3 540 @ 3.8ghz on a Gigabyte P55-USB3
Im a bit lost as to what to move too though, I don't wan't to spend much money (though that's what I said when I took up folding and within two weeks I was buying a GTX470 from the MM lol). I had been thinking about a used i7 920 and 1366 board as they seem to be going quite cheap now, or maybe just replacing the 1156 i3 with an 1156 i7, the new AMD multi core chips look nice, im not even sure what to look for in a folding CPU /confused
