Following on from my thread here, I've decided that it makes more economic sense for me to do a straight CPU and memory upgrade and stick with my MSI P35 Neo2-FR for the time being.
Question is, what CPU should I go for? My budget stretches for about £150 all-in for CPU (and aftermarket hsf if needed). Not sure whether to go Quad or stick with C2D - looking at my motherboards compatibility list here it looks as though I can more of less pick and choose, so I guess it really comes down to looking for some advice on the best bang-for-buck CPU/hsf combo for my old P35 board. Any heads-up as to what memory to pair it with is gratefully received too!
Cheers.
