I'm very tempted to grab me one of these:

I currently have an Asus A8N SLi Premium (whihc states it supports all 939 X2 CPUs), but I was wondering if I'm going to run into any other trouble.

PSU is a a healthy 500W and the only sticking point is my somewhat mixed (but still working with my current 939 4000+ Venice) RAM (PC3200 with mixed latencies).

General comments would help me greatly as I'm at work and can't spend the time researching.

Yes it will certainly work but older boards might need a BIOS update so it will recognise X2 chips. Memory shouldn't be a problem, if it works with your current Venice it should work with X2.

What is the brand of your PSU??
