CPU upgrade question

Dear all,

I'm about to upgrade my CPU from an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (939) Venice to an AMD Athlon 4000+ (939) San Diego. Will I have to re-install my OS? My motherboard will remain the same (DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D).
 
Changing the cpu alone won't be a problem, but changing chipset, even changing motherboard can screw everything up (I once changed a NF7-S to a NFI NFII infinity and windows was corrupted just from that!).
 
Brilliant feedback guys, thanks again. I was dreading having to reinstall everything but keen as mustard to see how much of an overclock I can get out of this new CPU. I wasn't even thinking about buying a new CPU until I saw the prices on the OverClockers website yesterday. Curses to my weak will...

... Intel employee in AMD loyalty shocker right here. :)
