CPU Upgrade time..

Hey guys, its been a while since my last post (glad my account still works).

My trusty p4 3.0ghz prescott is beginning to show signs of age, and I think its time I upgrade to a more powerful pc. I would like to play my games (counter-strike:source) in all its glory. Im running a 7800gtx, 1.5gb ddr2. I'm also running vista, so at some stage I will get a dx10 card. But for now I want mobo/cpu. Money is on a budget, lets say £350 for the mobo/cpu.. any recommendations ?

im no expert but

ds3/ds4 a lot of people are raving about

and a E6300 or E6600

that sound about right

hmmz, how much you reckon? I really only play cs:source, but want to be able to play future gamnes nicely... so i guess i will go with dx10 card... sigh.

Giabyte DS3 + E6600... until i can afford a DX10 card, This should give me a significant improvment over my current setup non? And I will be able to enjoy 64bit vista.
