CPU upgrade woes

Hey don't suppose anyone has a suggestion what to do. Atm i was planning to buy a 920 D0 in Q1ish time. However i've heard that the 920 will cease to be produced by the end of the year. So i was wondering what would ppl suggest. So what shall i do wait for gulftown's cheaper cpu (which is suspected to come out later in the year (Q2 2010?) (as no way am i paying for an extreme edition)) or shall i just buy the cpu before then and just hold onto it till i can afford the whole machine ? Also anyone think ull be able to get 4gig on each core with the new gulftown?

Obviously nobodies going to have too much hard facts but it would be nice to know what ppl think i should do.
 
Yea like i said the cheaper one (as in the 930). Least i know now the replacement is coming guess i'll just have to wait till i have to money (and hope for the best that the 930 is decent). Cause i don't know about u something tells me that the 920 D0 once it's finished production will disappear very quickly. Anyone seen any previews on the 930 yet ? Think im just gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. I just don't want to be in that situation where the old D0 stepping model is gone and the 930 hasn't arrived yet.
 
Yea just found out a little problem with the new 930 it's gonna be using the 1156 i5 mb's which's sucks. Aka that means we could see 1366 i7 boards being used for extreme cpu's only (i hope not cause ill cry otherwise). Well least i know now that i'm gonna have to buy this thing sooner rather than later (was gonna finish building my wc kit ah well) grab the 920 D0 cpu before intel screw it up :D.
