I have a few options:

1) Nearer to christmas upgrade my motherboard to an X48 add another 4gb of RAM and keep my CPU.

2) Same as above but replace my CPU with a yorkfield

3) Replace my CPU/mobo/RAM with Nehalem and DDR3

At the moment my CPU is at 2.8 as it's a nice balance between stock and 3.2ghz.
 
I'm also looking to replace my QX9650 with the i7 but it depends on a) Performance increase of i7 over current quads b) X58 mobo prices coming down to realistic levels, c) DDR3 ram dropping in price.

I'm going to sit-tight until the first reviews of the i7 are out before making a decision as the upgrade path from socket 775 is going to be steep with new mobo, ram and cpu.
