cpu upgrade

hi, i have a athlon 64 x 2 duel core processer 3800+, 2.0ghz. What is the best upgrade to do with the same motherboard.
I want to play BC2 and NFS Unleashed but its juddery. Can you help please?

What motherboard are you using ?

You could also upgrade the gpu to a ATI 5850.

Which Power Supply do you have?

Budget?

You really need to upgrade both CPU & Ram if possible... however depending on your current power supply you will most likly need to look at upgrading that as well!
