...but a lazy one. I'm not overly excited by what's about as regards new boards and chips at the minute, so in terms of gaming, is it worth just getting a 2nd hand 4790k for a coupla hundred quid and clocking that up to at least 4.4ish? I'd also put this lot inside a Fractal Design R6 (I think?) case at the same time.
I may be getting a bonus this month, if I did I'd want to do the above for now at relatively little cost compared to putting together a new system, just wondering if it'd be that much better than the chip in my sig. I'd put together a new system next year when more chips and graphics cards should be around.
I play stuff like Project Cars 2, Far Cry 5 in 1440p and these run fine. I just wonder if they'd run even better with an i7 or whether things would be even smoother in day to day use.
