CPU upgrade

Hi guys,

Currently have a AMD 3600 with a TUF gaming B550+, 3080 and some Corsair vengeance 3600mhz.

I only really play warzone but I've really notice my frames starting to dip between the 90-100 range and sometimes goes as low as 70-80 fps. Looking at the ms monitor I guess my CPU is throttling. I have a MSI 165hz monitor and play in 1440p.

Whats the best option for me CPU wise? Read a few threads and I am guessing 5700x or the 5800x3D? I won't be overclocking anything though.

The best gaming cpu on AM4 is a 5800X3D although a 5700X would still be a solid upgrade if you wanted a cheaper option.

They are both compatible but you may need a bios update.

only 1 at a time unless you got dual socket mobo.

Update to latest bios and will be set to take either CPU

I would choose 5800x3d but that's just me also you need decent cooler for it

The 5800X3D will definitely improve those minimum FPS drops more than the 5700X.

Another vote for 5800 x3d, they are well priced at the moment too

+1 if you can reach the 5800X3D, pretty much matches the 7700X in gaming.
