I've got an aging HP ZE4200 laptop that has the XP-M 1800 processor in it. I was wondering if I could open it up and stick in something like a 2500 XP-M or similar barton core jobbie in it since they can be had so cheap.
I just find that even with upgrading the ram from 256mb to 1gb its still pretty slow and laggy. If it's possible to give it a faster cpu for like £20-30 then that'd do me fine. I'm not about to spend a few hundred on a new laptop when this one pretty much does what i need it to.
CPU-Z says its an HP0024 motherboard in it but i cant seem to find any information on cpu support list.
thanks.
