Hi all my first post woop. Just started Uni and was given an email address that OCUK accepts lol.
Anyway have built my new rig and am having a few problems
I am getting a lot what seems to be spikes in the cpu e.g. if i'm playing on a game, Itunes or just surfing the web it lags / freezes for a second or less. The only thing is when the spike happens i cant see the CPU usage going up or it is and coming down when it unfreezes. These spikes happen at random times and always correct them selves but they happen too often.
When i get these spikes they sometimes cause my speakers to start crackling and this just **bad words**. To correct this i have to close down Itunes or alt tab out of a game. When i alt tab it doesn't always correct it self this is not what i would expect from my PC .
Heres my spec:
PC
E6750, P35 DQ6, Crucial Ballistix 2GB, 500W Tagen PSU, X850 XT (RMAin a 7900GT)
Audio
on-board sound from PC to Yamaha amp Via optical cable.
I think that its my on-board sound that is causing all of this but i want to be sure, i have updated the drivers but nothing seems to have fixed it. Has this happened to anyone before?
