Hi guys
Im trying to overclock my new i5 2500k on my Z77X-D3H board and im just a little confused having never owned a gigabyte or intel product before.
I have upped the multi in the bios to 40 so my cpu is showing as 4ghz when not in idle as i have all the downclocking settings etc on auto. I have set the vcore to 1.25 in the bios but when i load up my desktop the vid is showing as 1.341 on cpuz coretemp and hwinfo64 and i just dont no why. I noticed the dvid underneath the vcore setting in the bios is greyed out and i cant use it, i thought there may have been a + offset set causing the vid to be showing a lot higher than what i had set. I have checked the LLC as well and its set to normal so i cant see how that would be causing a +1v on my cpu.
The only thing i have changed is the memory to xmp profile but thats it, i also disabled the core boost as well as its kinda pointless to me
Hope someone might be able to help me out
Cheers
Liam
