Hi,

Please can you help me?

I built my pc over the weekend but I'm worried about the CPU voltages after reading about CPU's burning out a while back;

On the very first boot into the bios, the CPU core voltage was showing as 1.412v. After updating to the latest bios, the voltage is still showing the same 1.412v? I was under the impression that Asus had lowered the voltage in the updates?

Do I need to change something myself or is this nothing to worry about?

I didn't do an incremental bios update, but just went straight to the latest version. I hope this is ok!

My build;
Asus Rog strix X670E-E
Ryzen 9 7950x
Windows 11

Initial bios = 1416
Updated bios = 1709

Thank you

Hi,

Thank you.

Not sure I understand, but does this mean it's ok?
Think the newer bios limits soc to 1.3v
So yes you updated bios
So it will be fine

If you're not used to it
Then yeah seeing 1.4v for the cpu is bit scary
But it's exactly how they function
As more cores get put under load
The voltage will drop
