Cpu voltage on i5 Overclock

It really is different with every CPU out there...... as long as you are happy with temps etc.. i dont see to much of a problem, however i personally would stay below 1.35v but as long as its cooled correctly. As a reference my chip does 4.5Ghz at 1.2v. If you can get it lower great....if not i wouldn't worry

Yep, it really is a lottery isn't it, I managed 4.5GHz at 1.152v on a 4770k.

OP try lowering your vcore, you never know you may be able to get it stable using less power but as Angelos says don't worry if you can't.

If so, is the 1.32v-1.33v the one set by ocuk?

What are your temps like? and are you using the supplied cooler with the bundle?

Just curious.

Yes it was the one set by Ocuk, i only ask because I could swear when I was reading up most people were saying 1.4v was ok for Ivybridge etc but that really with the temp Haswell gets to you should aim to be below 1.3v. I have an antec 920 cooler instead with a pair of the Sp120 high pressure fans, its idling at 38-40c. Im busy transferring some data at the moment but can post some temps while playing games later.

Seems a bit warm for idle, it will be interesting to see what are the temps when stressed?

Once the system properly idled it was around 32-33c in core temp. I ran prime for a while it peaked at 73-74c. Its been a while since i "stressed" a CPU myself to test temp is prime 95 good enough for this sort of thing ?

When the core temp reading peaked at 74c my liquid temp on the Antec chill control was reading 44 c with the Sp120's still around 70-75%.
