hi guys, hopefully one of you can help me
so i was running windows 7 and i had a perfectly stable overclock on my i7 4770k of 4.5ghz i have recently upgraded to windows 8 before i upgraded i knocked all my overclocks off so everything was stock

after insalling windows 8 i used msi live update 6 to make sure i had the latest versions of drivers and motherboard bios then went back to reapply my overclock only to find i can no longer set the CPU voltage to manual mode

my 4.5ghz overclock was perfectly stable with the CPU voltage manualy set to 1.25 and temps where decent aswell but now i can only chose auto, adaptive and override, no manual
so now when i set my 4.5ghz overclock on all 3 voltage settings it uses more voltage than it needs sometimes peeking at 1.3 and the temps are going crazy as a result
does anyone know how i can get manual voltage mode back?

my motherboard is the MSI GD65 gaming z87
thanks

hi, thanks for the reply
i didnt make a copy because im stupid lol and i have no idea how to switch to 2nd bios, what bios version are you on?

also the CPU is only a couple of months old it so it shouldnt be needing more voltage to keep the overclock by now surely
