Hi Guys,
New to all this. So bear with me.
built my first system.
everything perfect and now trying to oc my ram and cpu.
I have an Asus Maximus XI Formuler z390 with intel i9-9900KS
I have g skill trident z royal 4800mhz ram. 4 x 8gb
now I know the ram won’t run as fast but thought it would be ok.
when I enable xmp on bios with ai oc.
the system just crashes and says the cpu voltage is the error and it logs at 1.55v plus!
what can I do?
Without enabling xmp I can change cpu settings to ai overclock and works fine, but ram is at 2168mhz.
I can put everything to standard and manually adjust my ram to 3900mhz and works fine. 4000 reverts back to 3900mhz.
so 3900 is max. But this is just standard default settings with ram speed set manually.
When ram is stable at 3900 all works fine until I then activate the ai oc cpu speed.
I just can’t work it out.
Have also tried to activate xmp, then manually adjust ram speed to 3900. Still doesn’t work and crashes.
Any help would be appreciated!
Steve
