CPU volts changing?

Hi,
The processor is an amd athlon 6400+ black edition
I'm using CPUZ and can see the voltage on my CPU changing but don't know why since i've set it at 1.4
1.408
1.392
1.424
1.440

the CPU core speed is changing slighly also

3198.20
3198.35
3198.12
3198.73

anyone know why it's doing this?

That's normal.

Software-reported voltages are only as accurate as whatever sensors the mobo manufacturers use. If you want to see the real voltage, use a multimeter.

As to why the CPU speed is changing, I'm not sure, but again I think it's due to software detection of the bus speed.
